At Dinafem Seeds, our breeders decided to cross two genetics with breathtaking pedigrees: an Old Skunk #1 with very special flavours and aromas, and an Afghani #1. And we couldn’t be happier with the resulting Indica hybrid: a top-notch strain with many of the original traits that triumphs everywhere and that everyone identifies as an old-school classic.

Cheese is one of those marijuana strains with very special tastes and aromas: pronounced and long-lasting flavours and scents of cured cheese right from the very first puff. Truly wonderful. Wherever she goes, she leaves a trace of Skunk, old cheese and incense that seduces all people around her.

Cheese is a heavy yielder, producing 525 g/m 2 indoors and up to 1000 g/plant outdoors. During harvest time, the smell is virtually unbearable; it fills the room so intensely that it becomes almost anaesthetic. And the number of buds and the amount of resin is also overwhelming.

ORIGIN: Cheese is a great strain that originated in the United Kingdom back to 1980s. The strain is a rare female phenotype of Skunk #1 a cross between Afghanistan (Indica), Mexico (Sativa) and Columbia (Sativa). It first appeared between 1988 and 1989 and was quickly cloned and passed on. As a female phenotype, the original strain is only available as a clone, but other breeders have imitated it in seed form by crossing a female Cheese with different Indica strains.

EFFECTS: Despite being Indica-dominant, the strain is said to hit hard and fast. Users’ first experience of increased happiness and waves of euphoria is followed by a powerful body-numbing high that leads to increased appetite. A few users report feeling more creative than lazy or tired, but the sedating Indica effect is likely to be the most powerful, resulting in a couch-lock. Facts can be summarised as relaxing, euphoric, uplift focused. Good for pain relief, sense of peace and insomnia as well.

THC: Cheese strain has a THC content that ranges between 15% and 21% which makes it a potent strain. First-timers should avoid it until they are more familiar with strains and their effects.

Named for its sharply sour aroma, Cheese is an Indica-dominant hybrid from the U.K. comprises of 80% Indica and 20% Sativa that has achieved widespread popularity for its unique flavour and consistent potency.

FLAVOUR: Cheese reportedly tastes and smells like sharp cheddar. It has an addictive cheesy flavour. Most of the consumers who are cheese lovers too can have this cannabis as a bang on their taste buds.
